I posted last week that I was in the process of moving and after a few days of work I am finally settled in!

I love the area I am living in, everything is so convinient! Even though my apartment is small and a challenge to decorate, I am still having a lot of fun with it. This week is all about scouting for me, locations for pictures, places I can play (like open-mics) and when I have the time, places I can enjoy some downtime in to shop and eat! I am lucky to have some good friends who have lived here for a while showing me aorund! There is so so so much to do and see and sometimes I feel a little overwhelmed but here are some of the highlights from my first week here!!

The Little Singer-Songwriter That Could

(actually I'm pretty sure everything is backwards)

So I guess I should introduce myself, or re-introduce myself to you, the people of Buzznet!

(Please pardon my bad grammar, I'll never get it, ever)

so if you can push through my thousands of comma splices, over used ellipses and jazz like that...

~My name is Hunter...

I used to be on Buzznet a lot, I blogged a bit and took a TON of pictures of myself... and totally said other people took them of me, because somewhere in my mind I thought that gave me some cool points. Though I didn't have any real big reasons to leave, I did. I took some time away from blogging and I started developing a love for songwriting and performing art. I'll spare you the gritty details but as time went on I started getting more and more involved with music. My first trip to Nashville was two years ago, I started taking voice lessons and learning to write. I played out at an open mic and before you knew I had to go home (time really did fly, and I was having a great time) and as for this photo the moms took it, oh yeaa. ANNY WAYY...

Last summer I went up to Nash again but for much longer and I actually got to record some of my songs! (3 to be exact) I played out at a bunch more venues around town but I was still struggeling with finding MY sound and where exactly I fit in... it's tough to make something sound good if it's not genuine (at least it is for me) but I finally ended up working towards a kind of a folk, pop mix and every day I work harder at it and every day I enjoy myself a little more :) I made a lot of good friends to! I love Nashville and I end up going or at least I try to go once every few months.

Then in the fall of this year, I moved to Charlotte for 6 months. It was nice, but it wasn't a music city to be exact but taking from my expirience what I could I learned that anything can be anything you just have to look at it the right way. I found some open mics and made some really lovely friends...

(Me! at The Evening Muse in Charlotte!)

After the Holidays I found myself back at home in Charleston, SC I'll try to post an album of some pictures from over the Holidays! It is really beautiful here (#1 city in the nation 2011 ya hear) but I need to be in a city where I can play a bit more so I am moving to New York!! I'm really excited about it, in the respects that it happens oh I don't know TODAY (Yes I am getting on a plane at 10 am.. It's gon' be cold.) I'll sure have a lot to post about though!

"I Think I Can...I Think I Can...I Think I Can" is all I have been trying to tell myself in the last couple of days... it's hard to just pick up and start again new but I am doing it because I know I can pursue the life that I want even if it takes work and reminding myself it's all for the music

I would love if some of you came a long for the ride :)

Follow me on twitter! @hunterpark

and on facebook.com/hunterparkmusic

~Please if you have any advice, questions, comments, anything really... let's talk!

There are so many talented people on this site and I love seeing all the support that is given around here! I'd be a liar if I were to say I wasn't super excited about growing with this website...

ps. tonight be on the look out because I'll be posting a few pictures from a house show I played last night
